a blog theme song…

I think I found a new theme song to keep me in a prayerful mood during my travels.  I downloaded this song performed by Keith Lancaster and the A Capella Company.  This version had a different lyric than the traditional song (check out the Swanee Quintet version), but it hit home with the slight change in the words.

Take the Lord With You

Well you’ve got to take, take the Lord with you (children) everywhere you go

Hey you’ve got to take, take the Lord with you (children) everywhere you go

Hey you’ve got to take, take the Lord with you (children) everywhere you go

In the street and in the home

On the job, when all alone

Highways , byways

Highways , byways

Well you’ve got to love, (love) one another (children) everywhere you go

Hey you’ve got to love, (love) one another (children) everywhere you go

Hey you’ve got to love, (love) one another (children) everywhere you go

In the street and in the home

On the job, when all alone

Highways , byways

Highways, byways

Well you’ve got to praise, praise the Lord daily (children) everywhere you go

Hey you’ve got to praise, praise the Lord daily (children) everywhere you go

You’ve got praise, praise the Lord daily (children) everywhere you go

In the street and in the home

On the job, when all alone

Highways , byways

Highways , byways

You’ve got to take, take the Lord with you.

Try rearranging the words:

In the street, you’ve got to take the Lord with you.  You’ve got to love one another.  You’ve got to praise the Lord daily

In the home, you’ve got to take the Lord with you.  You’ve got to love one another.  You’ve got to praise the Lord daily

On the job,  you’ve got to take the Lord with you.  You’ve got to love one another.  You’ve got to praise the Lord daily

When all alone, you’ve got to take the Lord with you.  You’ve got to love one another.  You’ve got to praise the Lord daily

Everywhere you go…
